Q. How do I stop a name from automatically filling in when I type the first couple letters in a new Mail message?
A. To prevent a certain name or email address from autofilling while adding it as a recipient in Apple Mail go to the Window Menu > Previous Recipients. The name you are looking for should be in that list. Locate it and click remove from list. It's also possible to add names or email addresses from the previous recipients list to your address book.

Q. Should I be running any antivirus programs on my mac? I have an iMac with OS X 10.5 Leopard.
A. The are no (zero) viruses for Mac OS X. There have only been "proof of concept" viruses or malware in labs or test environments. So no in my opinion there is no need to run an Antivirus program on your Mac. That said you should always run a firewall which is usually included on any Cable or DSL router. You can also turn on the Mac OS X firewall in System Preferences > Security. Also, never click on links in emails that look to be from your bank or anywhere else you use credit card or bank account numbers online. These are most likely fake or phishing emails which no Virus or Spyware application can block.
